Mobius Final Fantasy really looks to shake things up for RPGs on mobile devices.

The game will be hitting western shores on August the 3rd for iOS and Android. It tells the story of a man who wakes up in a world called Palamecia with no memory of his past. There, players find themselves using their amnesiac protagonist to bring hope to the world by unraveling a mysterious prophecy around a legendary “warrior of light”. Producer Yoshinori Kitase and writer Kazushige Nojima, known for their work on Final Fantasy VII (and its upcoming remake) are both on board.

Mobius Final Fantasy will be free-to-play with in-app purchases. It’s already received critical acclaim in Japan. Check out the trailer below to get a hint of what us in the west can expect.
