Your credits are no good here
The Star Wars Battlefront reboot has been extremely polarizing since it released last November, some people love it, and a lot of people hate it. Whatever your stance is on the game, EA and Dice are going to try and either keep you interested or lure you back in by allowing you to play the newest piece of DLC for free.
Not only is the Bespin DLC is going to be free; it is going to be free on more than one occasion. Starting August 19 and running through August 21, Battlefront players yet to purchase the latest downloadable content can join Lando Calrissian and Bounty Hunter Dengar for a fight amongst the clouds in Cloud City. The second and lengthier free trial will arrive on September 12 and will conclude on the 18th of that month.
This news comes hot on the heels of the announcement of a single player skirmish mode debuting later this month, and the revelation that Rogue One—the Star Wars movie hitting cinemas later this year—will be the final piece of DLC. This add-on pack will include the film’s characters, Jyn Erso and Director Orson Krennic as the game’s newest hero and villain, respectively. In addition, it will feature one of the movie’s locations, planet Sarif, in the form of a new map.
Moreover, the Star Wars Battlefront Live Events calendar now includes a fresh Hutt Contract that will arrive on August 30.
In order to take advantage of the upcoming free trials you will need to own a copy of Star Wars Battlefront and be a subscriber of Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus, depending on your system of choice.
