Shining Force-themed Fighter Blade Arcus From Shining: Battle Arena Coming To Steam

Sega’s Shining series returns with fantasy-themed fighter Blade Arcus From Shining: Battle Arena

Blade Arcus From Shining: Battle Arena

Out of all of the classic role playing game series of the 16-bit era, few are as fondly remembered as the Shining line of games, which began with Shining in the Darkness on the Genesis, and later expanding to a wealth of titles, including the beloved Shining Force series of SRPGs in addition to a slew of spin-off titles for various platforms. These side stories in the Shining series have explored a variety of genres, from the hack-and-slash action of Shining Force Neo to the Zelda-inspired adventure of Shining Wisdom. Now, Studio Saizensen has announced that the team-based fighter Blade Arcus from Shining: Battle Arena is coming to Steam July 28th. It will be priced at $29.99 with a 20% launch discount.

Set in the Shining universe, Blade Arcus from Shining: Battle Arena is set in a world controlled by blade, magic and fist. The game includes 16 playable characters from the Shining series as they battle it out in over-the-top 2D melees.
