Star Wars Battlefront’s Bespin DLC Coming This Month

Head amongst the clouds—Star Wars Battlefront takes players to Bespin

Star Wars Battlefront Bespin

EA has released new info on the latest DLC coming to Star Wars Battlefront.

If you are a fan of the Battlefront series, you probably already know that the upcoming downloadable content will be taking players to the planet of Bespin—spoiler alert—the location where Darth Vader proclaimed himself to be Luke Skywalker’s father. What you may not be aware of, however, is that there are two new heroes to play as, new weapons to use, and even a new vehicle.

Lando Calrissian could rightly be considered the most exciting addition in the second DLC pack, and perhaps, the most famous DLC character thus far. This renowned smuggler is a fan favorite; unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the other inclusion—Dengar. Don’t worry if this name is not ringing any bells, I had to give this guy a Google search myself. Dengar is a bounty hunter who stood opposite Darth Vader in Empire Strikes Back when the Sith Lord was ordering Han Solo’s capture… quite the claim to fame. There is a noticeable discrepancy in popularity level here. Sadly EA and Dice limited themselves to the first three films, leaving only a handful of baddies for developers to choose from.

Aside from these heroes, there will be a new—as of yet unknown—game mode, fresh star cards and weapons: the X-8 Night Sniper and EE-4 blasters, and, most prominently of all, the Cloud City locations. Star Wars fans will now be able to battle it out in the carbon-freezing chambers, Administrator’s Palace, and Bioniip Laboratories, or if flying is more your thing, players can now pilot the aptly named “cloud car” through Bispin’s golden skies.

The Bespin DLC will be arriving on June 21 for season pass holders, and two weeks later for everyone else.
