KOEI TECMO Teases New Omega Force Title For E3

Plus More Nioh and Attack On Titan Gameplay

E3 is right around the corner, so it’s time for developers to start dropping hints about their expected offerings. KOEI TECMO America decided to get the ball rolling this morning by announcing that they would be showcasing their upcoming titles Nioh and Attack on Titan. Oh, and they will also reveal an, “unannounced, top-secret title currently in development by Omega Force.” Interested yet?

You may remember the folks at Omega Force for their Dynasty Warriors series and Hyrule Warriors. Should we expect another hack-and-slash powerhouse? Amos Ip, Senior Vice President and General Manager of KOEI TECMO America is keeping pretty quiet on the details:

“We can’t wait for attendees to get their hands on two of this year’s biggest action titles, and we look forward to their reaction when we unveil an upcoming project that we’re incredibly excited to be working on.”

Not much to go on from that, but KOEI TECMO usually has some solid offerings, so I don’t think they can go too wrong with another Omega Force developed game.

In the meantime, E3 will get more hands on time with the Nioh Alpha Demo, which we previewed here. Team NINJA has even added some additional content (new weapons, new characters, more deadly enemies) for attendees to try out. Exclusive to the PlayStation 4, Nioh will officially release later this year.

Judging by the trailers, Attack on Titan looks to be a major player when it launches in August 2016. Based on the popular anime, players will be tasked with taking on the larger than life Titans. The series’ Omni-Directional Mobility Gear should make for some exciting combat possibilities.

I gotta admit, I’m curious about what Omega Force could be bringing to the table. Another game with “Warriors” in the title? Drop your best guesses in the comments.
