Apply now for your chance to experience Stranger of Sword City ahead of game’s June launch
NIS America today announced that the Steam page for Experience’s dungeon crawler, Stranger of Sword City, is now live.
Additionally, they will be conducting a closed beta for the Steam version of Stranger of Sword City starting May 5th. Those looking to participate in the Beta can apply here, with those selected receiving a free Steam key for the title. Applications for the Stranger of Sword City Beta will close on May 2nd.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time with both the PS Vita and Xbox One versions of the game saying, “Stranger of City may stumble in a few areas, such as the recycled character portraits and a story that feels almost secondary due to some relatively weightless central characters, but these annoyances pale when compared to just how satisfying the rest of the journey is. Escario is a wide and uncompromising land, and you’ll want to scour every inch of its dungeons just to uncover all of its secrets. If you enjoyed Demon Gaze or Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy, you’ll definitely find Stranger of Sword City an adventure worth undertaking. The game’s lofty challenge will likely even appeal to fans of FromSoftware’s Souls series looking for something a bit different. If you’re looking for a dungeon crawler with some serious mileage and an unrivaled artistic design, Stranger of Sword City absolutely deserves a place in your collection.”
