No Man’s Sky gets a release date, Xbox games get smeared on things that aren’t Xboxes, and Jay still likes Pokemon.

fuller house

A whole decrepit attic full of talking points: No Man’s Sky release date. The Division. Microsoft unifying Xbox One games with PC, phones and tablets. Always-online systems. Hololens. Disappointing games such as X Rebirth. Anno 2205. Sim City. Assassin’s Creed Unity. Beavis and Butthead SNES. DMC. Pokemon Black & White. Metal Gear Solid 2. Rust. Mass Effect. Trails of Cold Steel. Persona 4 Golden. Senran Kagura: Estival Versus. Danganronpa. Crashland. Hitman GO. Clash Royale. Black Desert Online. Destiny.

This week on the Hey Poor Podcast, Jay Petrequin, Adam Foster, Gary Swallow, and Kevin Chapman talk about release dates, the inevitable extinction of console generations, disappointing games, game theories becoming game realities, and Hey Poor Podcast band names. Jay keeps bringing up Pokemon lately, for some reason. Adam becomes After-Hours Adam. Gary wants to make gaming great again. Kevin pronounces “Gundam” weird. Thanks to listeners like Carlos Corallo and Ron White, and even members of our own staff such as Don Burton and Anthony Spivey, for giving us questions. Leave us some comments or leave a post in our weekly callout in the Hey Poor Player Facebook group with your own questions, comments, and ideas! Or tell Jay to stop talking about Pokemon. Not that he’ll listen.

The Hey Poor Podcast can be found and subscribed to on iTunes and Stitcher. In addition to the website, Hey Poor Player can be found in page and group form on Facebook,  screeching away like alarmed barn owls on Twitter, trying and failing to create anything worth watching on Youtube, and playing away for your entertainment on Twitch. Jay Petrequin started writing at HeyPoorPlayer in the summer of 2012, but first got his start writing for It's Super Effective, a Pokemon podcast that happened to be a reflection of two of his biggest interests: pocket monsters, and making people listen to him say things.
