In today’s Nintendo Direct, upcoming Wii U Furries-in-Space game Star Fox Zero was given a final, concrete release date. The latest in the spacefaring series will be making its way to Wii U consoles on April 22nd in the US and Europe.

This comes alongside the announcement of Star Fox: Guard, the Wii U eShop title which has become the final form of Project Guard, a tech demo shown off back at E3 2014. The game can also be obtained physically as part of the first print edition of Star Fox Zero, which can be pre-ordered now. Star Fox: Guard stars Slippy Toad and his uncle Grippy, who must work to protect Grippy’s mining business from threats.

Amiibo functionality was also announced for Star Fox Zero. Tapping a Fox Amiibo to the Wii U Gamepad will give players the opportunity to play using the original Arwing from Star Fox 64.
