A New Generation Awaits
During this morning’s Pokemon Direct, Nintendo showed off a six minute video celebrating the series 20th anniversary. It showed the series starting from its roots way back in 1996, from the pixilated days of Red and Blue, all the way to the 3D polygons of X and Y.
Near the very end of the video, Pokemon Sun and Moon were officially announced to be released this holiday season of 2016 for the Nintendo 3DS. No new footage was shown, unfortunately, though it was announced that the game will be released worldwide and in nine separate languages.
As well, the 3DS re-releases of Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow will be able to transfer Pokemon into the new games via the Pokemon Bank. That way the Charizard that you trained in the Kanto days will be able to beat everything in the newest generation!
