Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness Coming Stateside

NIS America to bring Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness to North America this Fall

Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness

It’s 2016, and visual novels are becoming more popular than ever. We’ve already had many popular games from Japan in this genre make their way stateside recently, and now we have another giant being released in the US. Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness, originally released in 2015, which also had a successful anime adaptation released around the same time, is now being localized by NIS America.

Developed by Mages and 5pb (the team behind the eerie Corpse Party series), Psycho Pass: Mandatory Happiness will be released both digitally and physically on Steam, PlayStation 4, and Vita. Unfortunately, the Xbox One version will not be making the trip over the Pacific Ocean.

Check out the announcement trailer for Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness below:

Be prepared for this lengthy crime drama set in a not-so distant future written by Gen Uruobuchi (Of Song of Saya and Madoka Magica fame) when Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness makes its way stateside this Fall.

So, do you think you’ll be picking this up when it lands on the Vita later this year? Be sure to sound off in the comments section and let us know.

Anthony Spivey loves his handhelds. Ever since getting a Game Boy and Pokemon Blue when they came out, he has rarely set down a handheld, usually to only pick up a console controller. He is frequently on the Hey Poor Podcast, which everyone should listen to. His favorite games include Persona 3 Portable, Pokemon Silver, Sonic Advance 2, and Final Fantasy VI Advance.
