Players can now pre-load the client for the upcoming The Division Open Beta, set to kick off later this week
Eager operatives looking to get the jump on playing the Tom Clancy’s The Division Open Beta can get the jump on the latest round of play-testing today by downloading the downloading the client. The Open Beta kicks off this Thursday, February 19 on the Xbox One, with the PlayStation 4 and PC versions launching the following day. Pre-loading the game ahead of time ensures you won’t have to wait to dive into Ubisoft’s plague-ravaged vision of New York City when the Beta kicks off later this week.
The client itself clocks in at a reasonable 27.GB. However, if you already participated in the previous Closed Beta and still have the game installed on your console, you’ll only need to download the game’s 1.6GB update.
The Open Beta for Tom Clancy’s The Division will introduce an all-new story mission, in addition to a new wing of your Base of Operations that will unlock a new skill for your operative.
Tom Clancy’s The Division is slated to release on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on March 8, 2016.
If you missed out on participating in The Division Closed Beta, which kicked off late last month, check out this handy video below courtesy of Ubisoft to help you get started. The brief tutorial footage goes over the basics of outfitting your operative with the best gear for the given job, working out strategies with fellow agents as you work to take down heavily-armed tangos, and undertaking missions in New York’s dangerous streets.
