Shardlight Releasing March 8, Gets Bleak Story Trailer

Shardlight, Wadjet Eye’s latest adventure epic releases on March 8, gets moody new story trailer

It’s been 20 years since the bombs fell, and Amy Wellard and her friends are barely surviving. Green Lung has gripped their community, the only medicine a vaccine in scarce supply. While the wealthy elite pay to stay healthy the poor must risk their lives, performing dangerous government jobs in exchange for a chance of winning meager vaccine doses in a stacked-odds lottery.

This is the bleak setting for Shardlight, the upcoming point-and-click adventure from the genre masters at developer Wadjet Eye Games, the studio behind the phenomenal Blackwell series, Technobabylon and Gemini Rue. While we knew the release would be soon, Wadjet Eye today confirmed that the game will be launching on March 8 for PC.

To celebrate the game’s upcoming release, a new story trailer for Shardlight has been released, which you can find below. The trailer offers a look at the game’s post-apocalyptic setting that the game’s heroine Amy Wellard will explore as she navigate’s the game’s dying city seeking to expose the secrets plaguing a war-torn society.
