Battlefleet Gothic: Armada’s New Trailer Details Game’s Narrative

New narrative trailer sheds light on the story behind upcoming Games Workshop RTS, Battlefleet: Gothic Armada

 Battlefleet Gothic: Armada

Publisher Focus Home Interactive today released a new video outlining the story behind the upcoming Unreal 4-powered RTS, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada. The video, composed from some of the game’s cinematics, introduces the ambitious solo campaign which will plunge players into the heart of the spectacular void battles of the 12th Black Crusade of Abaddon.

Focus Home Interactive detailed developer Tindalos Interactive’s ambitious goals for the game’s single player story saying “Great care has been taken with the campaign of Battlefleet Gothic, through its story and realisation. Many cinematics, astutely mixing game sequences with artwork created by talented artists, support the story and the major events of the campaign, which are sometimes influenced by the success – or failure – of the missions. The Gothic Sector is in constant evolution, and new threats often make an appearance such as the Ork pirates, or the Eldar corsairs. The Chaos forces will often launch assaults on Imperial worlds, while your allies will request your support. Quite often, multiple events will arise simultaneously, requiring you to take critical decisions and bear the weight of their consequences, such as different access to resources, or available allies… in the end, your decisions will influence the unfolding of the Gothic War itself.”

Created in partnership with Games Workshop,  Battlefleet Gothic: Armada is an RTS that puts players in command of one of these mighty battlefleets composed of the most powerful spaceships from the Imperial, Chaos, Eldar and Ork forces, as they vie for control of the Gothic sector of space. Battlefleet Gothic: Armada provides as heavy focus on customizing the player’s fleet of mighty vessels. Amassing a fleet of gigantic, miles-long battleships, players will have the ability to outfit these craft as they see fit, upgrading their available weaponry, defense and support sub-systems, etc. each customization affecting the very performances of the ship and the special abilities available during battle.

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada is poised to release on the PC in March. Those who pre-order the game on Steam ahead of its release will save 10% off its $40 price tag.
