Doing crime and killing time in Yakuza 5
SEGA and the team behind Yakuza 5 have gone to great ends to ensure the upcoming crime-addled open-world RPG captures the feeling of living in Japan. That said, there are plenty of distractions scattered around the game’s five main cities just waiting to for you and your gang of hoodlums to pass the time with.
From racing cabs to hunting bears in the wildnerss, there’s plenty to see and do in the game’s various locations to keep even the most dedicated crime lords busy. SEGA has released a fresh batch of screens and details on just what you can do with your free time in Yakuza 5, which you can find below:
“Yakuza 5 isn’t just a taste of the gangster lifestyle, with all the violence and intrigue that it brings; it’s a taste of the Japan lifestyle that just happens to be embroiled in the midst of an all-out Yakuza upheaval.
Is there any shame in spending hours perfecting the timing in Taiko no Tatsujin? No. Or spending thousands of Yen to win the ideal Hatsune Miku or NiGHTS statue from a UFO catcher? NO! Gamble! Drink! Cavort! Play! This is the essence of Yakuza, and Yakuza 5 has some of the best selections of diversions to date!”
Yakuza 5 releases later this year exclusively on the PlayStation 3. For a closer look at more of the game’s activities, check out the latest gallery of screenshots below courtesy of SEGA:
