After finally meeting the goal for its Twitter campaign, in which Atlus promised some new and exciting news if they received 15,000 tweets from users about the topic, the company has finally delivered; a new Shin Megami Tensei game is on its way. Get ready for Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final!

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final is unlike previous “Final” installments of the SMT series. Rather than just releasing a ramped up version of its latest core Shin Megami Tensei series title, Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final promises to be a completely new game. Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final is currently but a placeholder name. While the true title is unknown at this time, Famitsu has reported that the word “Decide” will play a factor in the upcoming game’s title.

SMT fans will be happy to know that Satoshi Oyama, Chief Programmer of Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, Shin Megami Tensei IV, and both Digital Devil Saga games will once again be taking the same role for Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final. Also confirmed were Kazuki Yamai as producer, Masashi Doi as character designer, Ryotoa Kozuka as sound composer, and Kazuma Kaneko as both setting planner and series monster designer.

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final is scheduled to release on February the 10th, 2016 in Japan. No outside releases have been confirmed yet. No more information has been revealed at this time, but an Atlus livestream on October the 11th at 7:00 PM JSY a NicoNico livestream may possibly provide more information on the newest SMT title.

Starting out with nothing more than a Game Boy and a copy of Donkey Kong Land, Kenny has happily been gaming for almost his entire life. Easily-excitable and a bit on the chatty side, Kenny has always been eager to share gaming-related thoughts, opinions, and news with others and has been doing so on Hey Poor Player since 2014 and has previously worked with both PKMNcast and SCATcast. Although his taste in gaming spreads across a wide number of companies and consoles, Kenny holds a particular fondness for Nintendo handheld consoles. He is also very proud of his amiibo collection. You can also find him on Twitter @SuperBayleef talking about video games and general nonsense. Some of his favorite games include Tetris Attack, Pokémon Black Version 2, The World Ends With You, Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, Yo-kai Watch, Donkey Kong Country 2, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, Kirby's Dreamland 3, Mega Man X, and Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (among many others).
