Galagan’s Island Brings Retro Shmup Action To Steam Greenlight

Prepare to get your 8-bit arcade shooter fix with Galagan’s Island, now on Steam Greenlight

Galagan's Island

Black Shell Media today has announced the cleverly-titled Galagan’s Island, a retro-inspired space shooter currently making its way through Steam Green Light, and the first release from indie developer Skinny Jeans Death Studios, an independent game studio founded by 13-year-old Jonathan Cunningham.

A true retro-centric experience, Galagan’s Island is an Arcade style Space Shooter that pays homage to the arcade style and difficulty found in classic games such as Galaga, Alpha Mission and Space Invaders. The game features 25 over-the-top stages to challenge players, and utilizes a dynamic scaling of ship abilities. As you progress through the game, your ability to perform improves as well.
