Far Cry 4’s developer offers contributions from Kyrat
Ubisoft Montreal will match the first $100,000 of donations contributed to the Canadian Red Cross for the Nepal Region Earthquake Fund.
On Saturday April 25 a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck the area of Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. Wounding more than 11,000 and killing 5,489 people according to Nepali authorities.
A verified Ubisoft post from the Canadian Red Cross website reads, “Having spent the last few years working on Far Cry 4, a game heavily inspired by Nepal and its people, it is with heavy hearts that the Far Cry family pulls together to raise money for the Canadian Red Cross, who are mobilizing their traveling hospital team to Kathmandu to offer support and medical assistance.”
As of this post, $23646.25 has been donated. If you’d rather donate directly, here’s a list from the New York Times of places to give.
