Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim brings classic adventure to PCs today
Publisher XSEED Games has announced that Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim is now available on Windows PC via Steam, Humble Store, and GOG.com at a retail price of $19.99, €17.99, and £13.99.
The game, which made its debut in the West on the Playstation 2 in 2005, and later on the Playstation Portable, is the first 3D entry in the long-running action-RPG series from developer Nihon Falcom. This updated Windows PC version features welcome additions to freshen up the decade-old title, including a brand new translation, the ability to warp between checkpoints, an optional “Catastrophe Mode,” and much more.
For those who’ve played the recent Ys: Memories of Celceta and The Oath in Felghana but neglected to check this out when it made its PS2 debut, now is the perfect time to take on the role of the fiery-haired Adol Christin in another classic adventure in the beloved series.
While our review of Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim isn’t quite wrapped up yet, we can assure you this is yet another excellent entry well worth your time. Stay tuned to see our thoughts on this remastered epic later this week.
