The Evil Within’s upcoming first DLC looks to be a keeper
Bethesda today teased the first piece of DLC for The Evil Within today in their official Bethesda Blog.
The brief, 14-second teaser feature’s the add-on content’s menacing main character peering into what appears to be a storage locker as an off-screen character, likely about to be eviscerated by the box-topped butcher, nervously repeats the phrase “must sleep”.
Set to be released this March, The Assignment DLC episode puts players in control of the the The Keeper, also known as the Boxman as you complete “sadistic” objectives. The Assignment DLC is included in the game’s $19.99 season pass, along with the other two upcoming pieces of story DLC including The Consequence, which centers around The Evil Within protagonist Detective Castellanos’ mysterious partner, Juli Kidman.
The Evil Within, developed by Tango Gameworks, was released in October for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Created by Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami, The Evil Within focuses on Detective Castellanos as he investigates a grisly murder at an asylum and is pulled into a twisted nightmare where nothing is as it seems and death waits around every corner.
