Surprise! Square Enix Is Gonna Keep Making Theatrhythm Games

Theatrhythm-DQ-Ann-3DS

Square Enix announced the next game in its musical action game series: Theatrhythm Dragon Quest. You can see the official site here. The game will be playable at Jump Festa next weekend, where a trailer will also debut.

Theatrhythm Dragon Quest will retail for 5,800 Yen, which is approximately $50 USD. It’s out on March 26 of next year — surprising, since Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call just came out.

I never got much of a chance to play the Theatrhythm games, but given that people seem to love them, it’s no surprise Square Enix will continue developing them.

Adam has a penchant for strong, minority opinions, and loves Mass Effect, JRPGs, and the Warriors games -- sometimes perhaps a bit too much. He will defend Final Fantasy XIII to his grave, and honestly believes people give Dragon Age II too much flak.
