Who would win in a fight? Finally Smash Bros. settles if Princess Zelda can beat up herself.
The Ice Climbers aren’t the only ones being held back by the 3DS. Smash Bros creator Mashiro Sakurai explained that due to hardware restrictions Zelda and Sheik would have to be rendered as separate characters for the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros.
Unlike previous titles in the series, future Smash Bros. releases will not have any transforming characters. Sakurai has also stated previously that both rosters will be identical, meaning this limitation will also extend into the upcoming Wii U version of the game.
Unlike the Ice Climbers, however, the characters aren’t getting cut. This actually works in favor of the two characters potentially; allowing a more dynamic move set between both of them. The characters do have distinctly different personalities in game, and hopefully this can work out in favor of the fans.
Super Smash Bros. for 3DS is released this Friday, Oct. 3.
