Pigeon dating simulator Hatoful Boyfriend gets wings clipped until September 4
Those who’ve been looking forward to sweeping the pigeon of their dreams off it’s taloned feet will have to wait just a bit longer. Hatoful Boyfriend, developer Mediatonic’s upcoming Pigeon dating simulator isn’t quite ready to leave the nest. The game, which was previously slated to be released this Thursday, August 21 will now be roosting on PC, Mac, and Linux on ready to spread its avian love bug on September 4, according to a tweet from the game’s publisher Devolver Digital. The delay is to add some last minute polish to the quirky title before it hatches on Steam.
Originally released in 2011, Hatoful boyfriend is the product of manga artist Hato Moa. This updated remake sports enhanced HD visuals and an all new scenario crafted by Moa himself.
For the uninitiated, Hatoful Boyfriend puts players in the shoes of the last human on Earth. Enrolled in a high school for pigeons, you must scour the feathery halls to find your one true love.
While I’m sure news of this delay will ruffle the feathers of a few gamers, just remember you can’t rush love. Stay tuned for more bad avian puns in our upcoming review of Hatoful Boyfriend. Also, you can new pre-order the game on Steam.
