As you may know, a sequel to Square Enix’s rhythm based game that features many songs from all of the mainstream Final Fantasy games is coming out later this year. This sequel, known as Curtain Call, features more than three times the amount of songs than the last entry, more characters, and many new features.
One of the newest modes is Battle Mode. Battle Mode involved duking it out with another player in hand-to-hand combat to the death.
Alright maybe not so intense, but you do face off against a friend locally or someone across the globe to see who can defeat the many enemies the game throws at you. From classic foes like
Nigel Tonberry, Behemoth, and many more, it’s a race to see who will mess up first and win the epic battle.
In the video below, you can see Ichiro Hazama, the Producer for this wonderful game strike swords with Naoki Yoshida, the Producer and Director of Square’s newest online sensation, FFXIV: A Realm Reborn. Their final battle will take place on August 16th, live at Gamescon. Who will win?
Why, us of course. Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call releases this September 18th in NA on all 3DS and 2DS handhelds for a retail price of $39.99.
