Hatoful Boyfriend Flocks to Steam This August

Have you ever been romantically attracted to a bird? The creators of Hatoful Boyfriend have. Probably.

birdfuckingadventure2014   Okay, let me swing something by you. A dating sim…about birds. You got it? Think about that for a minute. How do you feel about that? Confused? Angry? Amused? Aroused, even? Or perhaps you’re just smirking at your screen, because you’ve already heard of the lark-lovin’ and robin-romancing adventure known as Hatoful Boyfriend.  Yes, it really is a game where you romance birds. Just to be clear on that. Hatoful Boyfriend developer/resident avian fetishist Mediatonic (Ameteur Surgeon, Foul Play) has joined forces with publisher Devolver Digital (Luftrausers, Hotline Miami) will launch on Steam and Devolver Digital’s website on August 21st for PC, Mac and Linux. There’s even an early bird special available to all Steam users, as pre-ordering the game will get you 10% off the $9.99 price tag. To celebrate the game’s launch on the Steam featherbed, a special “Summer of Dove” collector’s edition is also being released. This digital bird’s nest of goodies includes the game’s soundtrack, an exclusive comic, and a digital yearbook of the St. Pidgenations class of 2014.  Because yes, not only are you a human romancing birds, you are the sole human in an all-birds school. It’s kind of like Ouran School Host Club, but 500% weirder. Hatoful Boyfriend settles down to roost on Steam on August 21st for $9.99, where long-time fans can find a scenario and ending new to this release of the game. Follow your heart, and find the feathered friend of your dreams. Just be sure to wear a condom, you wouldn’t want to get the avian flu. Bird puns.
