Devolver Digital today released a launch trailer for Valencia-based indie developer Deconstructeam’s minimalist point-and-click thriller, Gods Will Be Watching. Slated to bring a universe of tough, life-or-death choices to PC, Mac, and Linux adventure gamers on Thursday, July 24th on Steam, GOG, and the Humble store, Gods Will Be Watching is an extreme take on the traditional point and click adventure genre focusing on the harsh ethical conundrums and moral dilemmas of a stranded space exploration team.

The latest trailer for the game sets the tone with plenty of tense moments, harrowing standoffs, and shadowy subterfuge. It certainly looks like the odds are stacked against Gods Will Be Watchings‘ battered band of space survivors. Will you be able to use your wits to survive this interstellar nightmare?

Gods Will Be Watching features a wealth of challenging puzzles with an emphasis on choice, where both the narrative outcome and the ethical approach to the problem have a serious impact as you progress through the game’s morally ambiguous adventure, where the only goal is to survive. The game’s dark, mature themes seem at odds with Gods Will Be Watching’s pixelated, retro-inspired visuals, but the end result is a gritty and nostalgic looking tale that we cant wait to see to its conclusion.
