Thomas Was Alone has seen a slow but steady spread in popularity since the game’s original launch on Steam in 2012, largely thanks to its later ports to iOS and the Playstation Store, playable on both PS3 and Vita. We had the delight of reviewing the game last year, and had a lot to good to say about this minimalistic platformer’s huge and vibrant heart and soul. Now, the iPad version of the game is getting even more, as have the other versions before it. This new free level pack is called Benjamin’s Flight, and chronicles a young program’s quest to find the fountain of youth, with help from a jetpack left behind by his father. Along the way, Benjamin will make a new friend and meet someone from the original game, who will join him on his adventure. This DLC acts as a prequel leading up to Thomas’ emergence as a program, and is now available on iPad. The DLC is already available on Steam and PS3.
Thomas was Alone can be downloaded now in the app store for £3.99 / $5.99, and the DLC can be downloaded for free. Enjoy a new chapter in friendship, adventure, and most importantly, jumping.
