Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number developer Dennation Games have revealed an exciting new addition to their upcoming stranger-slaughtering sequel to the neon-saturated 2012 PC and PSN hit, Hotline Miami.
The latest bloodbath will come packed with a level editor, allowing you to test your skills against your own creations as you customize the layout of your own stages with a variety of weapons, enemies, and more.
“Fans with a talent for designing potential murder scenes will be able to create a floor plan and place items within including furnishings, fashionable décor, weapons, and unforgiving enemies armed with whatever instrument of death you choose. ” said Dennation Games in a press release announcing the inclusion of this new feature.
We can’t wait to flex our masochistic muscle when this level editor is in our hands alongside the game’s release later this year. If what the team themselves have been doing with this editor is any indication, we’ll be in for a gruesome good time.
“After intense negotiations Dennaton Games has agreed to let me create a level called Fork Parker’s Mansion of Pain using the new Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number level editor,” said Devolver Digital CFO Fork Parker. “One room is just seven dogs and a dude with an Uzi. Good luck, nerds.”
