Wax your beard and chomp your favorite cigar, Tropico 5 lands on PC today.
Today PC gaming despots can return to the island of Tropico to flex their iron fists over the sun-soaked beaches and corrupt politicians that take center stage in this fifth entry in the acclaimed dictatorial simulation series. To celebrate the return of El Presidente, Kalypso Media and developer Haemimont Games have released a brand new trailer showcasing the tyrants new digs in this management simulator that takes players from the colonial era, through World War 2, up to the cold war and present.
Tropico 5 marks the first time since the series’ 2001 debut a cooperative or competitive multiplayer mode supporting up to four players per every island. Players will be able to work with or against each other as they build their sprawling metropolises, research new technologies, and build trade empires throughout the game’s tropical island world.
So, slip into your favorite olive-drab uniform and don your finest totalitarian beard, Tropico 5 is now available for PC via boxed retail, Steam and the Kalypso Launcher. Those looking to flex their authoritarian muscle on Xbox 360 and Mac will have to wait until this Summer to reign over the proletariat, with a Playstation 4 release to follow this Fall.
