I do not pretend to be a man who knows everything. Nor do I claim to be a fan of the Call of Duty series. When I heard a trailer had been revealed for the new game in Activision’s series of military FPS jams, I met it with a nod and an eye roll. It’s that time of year again, after all.
That said, after watching this trailer, I will admit to be at least vaguely interested. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare seems to be amping up the futuristic motif of things to an even more significant degree than the Modern Warfare trilogy, with those gnarly exoskeleton designs reminding me a lot of the Crysis series. But this is COD through and through, and just like the Modern Warfare series after which it is named, this new title seems to be promoting its story, what with Oldy McWhitedude (as played by Kevin Spacey) providing narration. Developed by Sledgehammer Games, call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is set to make a supply drop on November 4th, 2014. Hey, it’s got to be better than Ghosts.
