Payday 2 developer Overkill Software today published a new trailer for its free Death Wish DLC, which brings a punishing new four-star challenge to the game’s existing missions, along with a host of new and powerful law enforcement units to stand between you and your ill-gotten gains. While we were hoping this new downloadable content would offer players the chance to play as Charles Bronson, unleashing sweet vigilante justice on the game’s signature gangsters, we’ll have to settle for this instead.

Here’s a list of the features brought to the game in the Death Wish DLC courtesy of 505 Games.

  • Death Wish difficulty level can be applied every heist available to date. No one knows how Death Wish difficulty alters a heist – bridges that were whole could now destroyed, skylights could have appeared in buildings roofs and if I were you I’d be careful not to use the wrong ingredients while cooking meth…
  • Two new enemy types – Two new enemy types have been added to the game; the GENSEC Elite SWAT’s and the haunting, LMG-wielding Elite Bulldozer!
  • A free melee weapon – Still not difficult enough? Have a pair of Brass Knuckles on the house and make it a real challenge. The “350K” brass knuckles packs the punch of 350,000 community members (the 3rd largest community on Steam!).
  • 35 new achievements to unlock – Players will have a whopping 35 new difficulty related achievements to unlock.

The Payday 2 Death Wish DLC will be free to download. If you’re a Playstation Plus member you might want to take advantage of the free Payday 2 download while it’s still available.  Additionally, those looking to spill blood in the name of big scores and glory on the PC should wait until tomorrow to commit to a life of crime as from Feb 28th and March 2nd, Payday 2 will be 50% off.
