Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be making its way to North American Playstation 4s on April 14th. The game will be available in both Standard and Collector’s edition’s, we pre-orders for both versions of the game being accepted starting today. Those who pre-order either edition of the fantasy MMORPG will receive two in-game items, (a Mog Cap as well as a Caith Sith Doll minion), along with early access to the game starting on April 11th. The Collectors Edition ( of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will include several other bonus items, including an art book, music CD, art cards, a special themed security token, along with some other in-game goodies. The two versions will retail for $39.99 and $79.99, with the collector’s edition being made exclusively available at Square Enix’s online store.
Those looking into explore the mystical realm of Eorzea early will be able to join the game’s upcoming beta test for free on February 22. If you’ve already cut your teeth on the Playstation 3 version and want to port your character over toe the Playstation 4 version, players can begin to do so free of charge on April 11th. Bear in mind though, once you do so you will be unable to access the PS3 system version. Final details of the account transfer system will be made available by Square Enix in the near future.
