Microsoft seem to be making good on their promise of creating new IPs for the Xbox One. On December 19th the company submitted the trademark application for a new game titled “Throne Together” to the United States Patent & Trademark Office, with the application being listed on the USPTO site last night. The details on the stately-named title are few, with the document merely stating that the trademark is for a piece of game software. Regardless, it’s safe to assume the title is one of the new properties Microsoft alluded to in their Xbox One reveal back in May.
We can only wonder what to expect when Throne Together is finally formally revealed. Will it be a co-operative fantasy hack-and-slash? A fantasy kingdom simulator? Maybe a group defecation party game? Hell, maybe it’ll be the start of the next generation of those atrocious Burger King games we were treated to around the Xbox 360’s launch. We’ll just have to wait and see.
Stay tuned to HeyPoorPlayer for more details on this mysterious new title as they emerge.
