It’s been a long time coming, but Konami has confirmed that Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be slashing its way onto the PC via Steam and other digital download services on January 9th. This won’t be a simple port of the base Rising experience, Konami has confirmed the PC edition of the game will also include the VR Missions, and the two character-led Bladewolf and Jetstream DLC chapters, absolutely free. In addition to including the DLC chapters, Konami has addedthe ability to view and listen to all the cutscenes and codec conversations, as well as replay any of the boss battles.
Developed by Kojima Productions and legendary action game developer PlatinumGames (of MadWorld and Bayonetta fame), Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance originally cut a bloody swath across the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 back in February and received praise for its over-the-top action and interesting ‘zan-datsu’ sword mechanics.
Those who pre-purchase Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance beginning on Thursday, December 19th, 2013 and receive 33% off for 48 hours as a feature in STEAM’s Holiday sale on the first day, and 20% off discount until the game’s January 9th 2014 launch.
