Kojima Studios reveals Snatcher-inspired mission exclusive to the Xbox One version of MGSV: Ground Zeroes
Today Konami and Kojima Studios finally revealed what exclusive content the developer has been cooking up for the Xbox One version of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. The revelation is a pleasant surprise and a nod to one of Kojima’s most celebrated early projects, the cyberpunk adventure, Snatcher. The mission, titled “Jamais Vu”, revolves around that classic title’s eponymous replicants who have been dropped into a camp on a mission to exterminate and assume the identities of anyone they encounter. Players take control of Metal Gear’s resident cyborg ninja, Raiden, as he hunts down these cybernetic interlopers with his razor-sharp HF blade to strike a victory blow for humanity before the deadly robots can infiltrate our ranks.
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is the prolog chapter to Kojima Studios’ upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. The game will be released on March 18, 2014 for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 and retail for $29.99 for the physical release and $19.99 for the digital version. The game will also be released for the Xbox One and Playstation 4 for the totally fair price of $39.99 for a physical copy and $29.99 for the downloadable version.
It remains to be seen what kind of exclusive content is making its way to the Playstation 4 release of Metal Gear Solid V: Grounds Zeroes, but I’ve got my fingers crossed for a nod to Policenauts.
