Wii U Wind Waker Bundle and Price Drop

The long-rumored Wind Waker HD bundle has now been confirmed. The bundle not only gives some gamers a reason to finally pick up a Wii U, but also promotes Nintendo’s increasing focus on downloadable games. The bundle includes a complete deluxe edition Wii U, including a gamepad featuring gold stencils and designs similar to the Ocarina of Time 3DS, and a download code for Wind Waker HD, as well as one for a digital copy of the Hyrule Historia, a tome of Zelda lore and concept art released last year.

The price of this bundle heralded another announcement, in the form of a Wii U price drop. The Wii U Deluxe Edition, previously $350, has now been lowered to $300, which is also the cost of this new bundle. If you pick up a physical copy of the game instead of the digital one, pre-ordering it at Gamestop will get you an exclusive Ganondorf figurine. The Wii U Wind Waker HD bundle launches with the game’s digital release on September 20th.
