Bring your Fear to the Next Gen with Daylight Trailer and Screens

Developer Zombie Studios and publisher Atlus have joined forces to bring us Daylight, a new survival horror game for PC and PS4. The game is a first-person survival horror adventure in which you wake up in an abandoned hospital, armed only with a cell phone by way of light source. The darkened world around you is randomly generated. Each area, item, and spooky foe appears in a different place each time. The game was written by industry veteran and IGN alumni Jessica Chobot, who also gives a voice to the game’s protagonist as she roams through the abandoned building in search of a way out.

Zombie Studios hopes to light up the way in terms of next-gen horror with Daylight. The Unreal Engine 4 creates atmosphere and detail guaranteed to scare and immerse the player. The PS4 version of the game also sports sharing features, making use of the capabilities of the PS4 to allow streaming of each and every unique playthrough. The PlayStation Eye camera is also integrated to snap a picture of the exact moment each scare occurs, so if you’re the self-deprecating type, you can share each pants-pissing moment with your friends. The game will also support RealD 3D technology.

Daylight is planned to be released sometime in Q1 2014 on both Steam and PS4. No price or rating has yet been announced. For more, check out the gallery below, and take a look over at the game’s official website.
