The big cheese is making his entrance!
Tatsumi Kimishima, the president of Nintendo, will be hosting next Thursday’s Switch Presentation. The event will be hosted at the Tokyo International Exhibit Center (also known as the Tokyo Big Sight), and Mr. Kimishima will deliver further information on the upcoming Switch in the center’s East Hall 8.
Furthermore, the event won’t be limited to a one-and-done presentation: on January 14th and 15th (Japan Time), attendees can play demo software of Switch games. While cameras are allowed inside the exhibit, they won’t be allowed in the stage shows (and obviously, no up-close footage/pictures of the games shown). No games were named, but it was warned the presentation may feature games with age restrictions. Merchandise also won’t be sold, but My Nintendo members can enter a lottery to win a Switch system, with ten units to given away both days.
Musical performances of Nintendo songs will also be featured at the exhibit, courtesy of Big/Rock Bands. Even if you can’t attend the show, livestreams will be available at unannounced sites from 10:00 to 17:00 JST. It won’t be the first time Nintendo has proven their worth with Big Band performances, so this’ll be quite the treat.
While the UK stream of the presentation will have English voiceover, it’s unknown what will be done for the American streams. We’ll keep you updated as Thursday closes in.
