(Literal) Bear Arms: Bear Simulator Attempts a Kickstarter

Ever wondered what it would be like to live your life as a bear? Me either. Hell, until last month, I wasn’t even aware that goats were as cool as they are. Thankfully, saving me from my own ignorance, Bear Simulator is in development and on Kickstarter.

The image below portrays a bipedal bear with paws outstretched. The Kickstarter page explains this as a work in progress, and also explains the game itself: “You play in FPB (First Person Bear) and do bear things which include exploring, eating fish and plants, striking down anything that dare stand before your might, increasing your stats, sleeping and discovering mysteries of your forest home… TL;DR – It’s like a mini Skyrim but you’re a bear.”

I generally hate when games describe themselves as “this game but with these other elements,” but I gotta say, it looks remarkably similar (and great!) “Skyrim with Guns” is still one of the biggest faux pas of recent memory. Either way, I’ll be keeping an eye on this; Goat Simulator seems funny enough, and I’m all for having as many silly simulation games as possible.
