Square’s 1994 Masterpiece Final Fantasy VI Lands On iOS

Square Enix announced today that their 1994 SNES masterpiece Final Fantasy VI is now available on iOS devices on the App Store for $15.99.

Widely regarded as the best of Square’s 16-bit entries, this iOS port features enhanced visuals and the ability to access your saved games across multiple iOS devices via iCloud. The game also features the popular Magicites featured in the 2006 PSP remake of the game.

Final Fantasy VI is a massive adventure featuring¬† fourteen playable characters, the largest cast of any main series game in the long-running series. For anyone who hasn’t had a chance to experience this legendary quest, this pocket-sized port might be your best chance to see what the hype is all about.
