Minecraft will finally be making its long overdue appearance on the Playstation 3 tomorrow, December 17th, according to the latest post from Mojang on the Playstation Blog. The developer confirmed the game will be made available on the Playstation Network Store tomorrow, and that both the upcoming Playstation 4 and Vita ports of the incredibly popular title are still slated for release sometime next year.
Those expecting any major differences between the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 needn’t worry, as Mojang has confirmed “Minecraft: PS3 Edition comes with everything present in other console versions. They’re pretty much identical to play, and will be developed in tandem from now on.” The studio plans to have DLC skin and content packs available shortly after the game’s release.
It remains to be seen if the game will feature Remote Play or compatibility with the PS4 or PS Vita editions, but the studio promises to make that information available at a later date.
