South Park: The Stick of Truth has had a long and rather upsetting history. From losing their original publisher to what is now the game’s third delay, fans have been waiting long to get their hands on this hilarious game. Since the last delay, The Stick of Truth was supposed to release this December, but after an announcement from Ubisoft themselves, we won’t see the game hit shelves until March 4th, 2014.
Not too bad I guess. Trey Parker and Matt Stone had this to say:
“We always wanted the game to feel like you’re actually in an episode of South Park. Getting the game up to the crappy standards of the show has been a real challenge and we’re excited to say it’s taken way longer than we thought it would.”
Although the news of the delay is saddening, Ubisoft released a 7 minute long gameplay trailer to showcase the characters, the battles and more. From what we’ve seen up to this point, the game looks fantastic, and with the extra time they are taking to make it a fully completed game, I’m sure they’ll deliver a masterpiece.
