Remember that suitably retro looking Wreck It Ralph arcade cabinet that made it’s way to E3 last year? Disney developed the Flash-based Donkey Kong knock-off to help promote the film. Unsurprisingly, the game has been leaked to the internet where crafty coders have taken this fictitious retro relic and ported it to the Sega Genesis, allowing you to get your dose of new school classic gaming goodness on a piece of old school hardware.
A Sega Mega Drive developer known as Future Driver is responsible for bringing this retro-inspired title to your favorite Genesis emulator. While the version currently available is an early build, it includes all of the gameplay from the Disney-produced arcade original, along with the addition of smooth scrolling.
With the help of Google you can get your grubby mitts on the ROM file of Fix-It-Felix Jr and give the game a shot on your favorite emulator, or play it on your Genesis or Mega Drive with the use of a handy Everdrive flash cart.
So, plan on giving Fix-It-Felix Jr a shot? Let us know what you think of it in the comments below.
