Developer Overkill Games has released a bunch of new felonious screens of their upcoming crime-spree shooter, Payday 2. The game features the original crew of conniving cons, Dallas, Hoxton, Wolf and Chains – as they set their sights on Washington DC for an epic crime spree.
One noteworthy addition of Payday 2 is the new CRIMENET network which offers a wide variety of dynamic contracts, and players are free to choose anything from small-time convenience store robberies or kidnappings. More ambitious crooks can choose to perform big league cyber-crime or ransack cash-filled bank vaults to really make it rain. Players can also get acquainted with the inner-workings of the Capitol by performing some favors for the Beltway’s more scandalous denizens.
Payday 2 aims to take the four-player cooperative formula to new levels with its CRIMENET system, broad customization capabilities and a challenging heists with enough depth that the developer touts the title as “the Dark Souls of Heist games.”
Look for Payday 2 to land on the PS3, Xbox 360 and Windows PCs later this month.
