ShinyLoot, in cooperation with Nordic Games, begins their Nordic Games Weekend Welcome Sale to run today through July 28. The sale will offer customers titles from popular series such as Gothic, The Book of Unwritten Tales, SpellForce, and Painkiller for 75% off. The majority of these titles are DRM-free with the ones that aren’t requiring a only one-time key activation. With over 25 titles covering action, RPG, adventure, strategy and simulation, ShinyLoot believes this sale offers something for everybody. A few popular offers include:

  • The Gothic Complete Collection including all 3 parts & addons for $6.25 ($24.99 MSRP). Immerse yourself in a huge living and breathing environment, meet unique characters and experience the epic story of Gothic. Choose your faction and make history: various, nonlinear storylines with different outcomes empower you with almost limitless possibilities and guarantee longterm challenges.
  • The Book of Unwritten Tales, critically acclaimed an 81 point score on Metacritic for $5.00 ($19.99 MSRP). Enjoy a turbulent and humorous Point & Click adventure in an RPG world! Take Wilbur, Nate and Ivo on their treasure hunt, face bizarre characters and magical fantasy environments, and solve challenging puzzles that will tease your brain cells.
  • Painkiller Black, originally rated at 81 points on Metacritic for $2.50 ($9.99 MSRP). Offers both multiplayer and a fantastic single player mode: over 30 levels of fierce FPS action, dozens of different enemies in completely unique and varied environments, and 14 incredible weapons, including the famous stake-gun, and the mythical Painkiller.

Other titles also on sale include The Guild 2, SpellForce, Neighbours from Hell, Dungeon Lords MMXII, Railroad Pioneer, AquaNox and Silent Storm Gold Edition.

ShinyLoot Launches Download Manager

In addition, ShinyLoot is launching an early version of their own download manager. Chris Palmarozzi, CEO and Co-founder talks about the update. “Some of our users were having trouble with their browser cutting off in the middle of a large download. We created this tool so customers wouldn’t have to worry about an incomplete file from their browser or internet dropping the download.” ShinyLoot believes that their download manager will be a welcome tool in further establishing themselves as a strong indie alternative for digital distribution.

This is a great chance to snag a wide variety of titles for peanuts. For anyone who picked up Nordic and Game Arts’ the just-released The Raven: Legacy of a Master Thief (check out our review here!) and is enjoying it, you’d be wise to pick up The Book of Unwritten Tales at the throwaway price of five bucks, as it’s another quality adventure from the talented German studio.
