It looks like fans hoping to see a return of the popular Spec Ops cooperative play mode may not get quite what they were hoping for when Call of Duty: Ghosts is released this November. It seems as if this addicting mode has been replaced by another play mode according to a tweet posted by Infinity Ward’s community coordinator Candice Capen.
While it seems the fan favorite mode won’t be making a return in the upcoming entry in the long running FPS series, I have to admit I’m intrigued to see what Infinity Ward has up their sleeves with the new cooperative mode. Maybe it’ll be a Starsky and Hutch playtype where one player controls a grizzled Black Ops soldier while the other controls the game’s iconic dog of war.
Only time will tell.
