Valkyria Chronicles is known for being a vibrant looking series, so it may come to a surprise to some to see just how dark and dismal the opening footage for Valkyria Chroncles 3 is. The video showcases some very nicely designed characters who just so happen to look like they’ve been through hell and back. It’s all still as beautiful as you’d expect, but gone from this snippet is the series’ lighthearted aesthetic.
While there has been no plans for a US release announced yet, Valkyria Chronicles 3 is due out early next year for the PSP. Hopefully Valkyria Chronicles 2 sold well enough to convince Sega to bring the third entry in this impressive series stateside.
